Leading Growth from a Distance - Part II
Article by Guest Blogger - J.T. Robinson
Yesterday we focused on leading growth with your team. So many of us must lead people we are not around consistently.
In yesterday’s post we talked about things you should do with you are WITH your team. Be sure and read through this helpful list if you haven’t already.
Here are some things you should do when you are AWAY from your team:
- Pray for them constantly…
- That they grow in love for each other
- That they finish strong
- Find ways to strengthen and encourage them
- Be concerned for them
- Be encouraged by their success, not yours
- Instruct them
- Encourage them to continue to grow even more
Urge them to…
- Never rest
- Never tire of doing what is right
- Win the respect of others by their actions
- Give them hope and inspire them by keeping their desired end in mind
Encourage them…
- To be ready for their day of opportunity
- To be disciplined
- To stay focused
- To encourage each other to finish strong
- Tell their stories of success to everyone
- Prepare them for the future
- Express your confidence in them
Remind them of…
- Their past accomplishments
- Their calling
- Their finish line
- Reassure them that they have been equipped for their mission and that God will help them accomplish it
- Encourage them to persevere to the very end
These things foster growth.
The Result:
As a result of Paul’s approach, the Thessalonians welcomed his message with joy and revolutionized their beliefs, actions, values, outlook and legacy. They grew in love for each other and became the benchmark for others to follow.
Paul’s legacy was that the Thessalonians had pleasant memories of Paul.
How often is your message welcomed with joy? How many pleasant memories of you does your team have?

I thank God for sending me this message today. I appreciate the time you have taken to help influence others. I am like many others growing in my business skills and have came across this article in this manner. However, I also have Four children, two of these are tennage boys and i look forward to using these ideas and this outline to help me feel more confident in my leadership of them. The Lord, Jesus Christ sends his message through many and I thank him this day again and again
