Of all our presidents it would be hard to come across a more passionate, eccentric, results-driven leader than Theodore Roosevelt. He certainly didn’t mind sharing his opinions. Yet, after three terms and an assassination attempt on his life, I think he is worth listening to. What do you think of this?
“There has never yet been a man in our history who led a life of ease whose name is worth remembering.”
Do you agree? Does this offend you? If so, why?
Here is another:
“The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything.”
One more Teddy quote resonates with me. The reason is that I believe it. I am entering the age where most people around me begin to settle for second best and trade in their dreams for paychecks so they can pay the mortgage company to cover their “dream house.”
“No man is worth his salt who is not ready at all times to risk his well-being, to risk his body, to risk his life, in a great cause.”
