Foundation for Results

A house is built on a strong foundation. One that is solid and unshakable and easy to build upon. You can not have a sturdy house without a solid foundation. The same is true for a business. In order to grow a business, the organization must first focus on laying the strongest foundation possible. This foundation is built upon processes, execution and coaching. Once it is established, your business will not only be solid, but it will be an organization that produces solid results. Let me give you a sample of areas to consider…

  1. Choose to grow - Decide what you want your company to be when it grows up and make efforts to grow in that direction.
  2. Plant seeds of growth - Prepare your team for the changes that will naturally occur because of revenue increases.
  3. Begin to measure everything - If you can not track your successes, you will not know where to improve and where to accelerate, so start measuring all of your actions.
  4. Develop flexible processes - Processes support growth as long as they do not become bureaucratic. Find a system or process that will support the growth and continue your results. What is it you want? Do you want to be a turnkey money producer? Do you want to grow at a nice steady pace? Or do you want to grow to sell?

Everyone has some desire. These desires become your vision. With vision, you must also have goals to reach. It is important to layout the vision and goals, and then build the foundation around them. Tell your key employees (builders) about your vision. They are the ones who will help you build. Once it is constructed you can then begin to build revenue-generating tactics on it that will produce strong results.

Without a firm foundation built on vision, goals, strategy and high-yielding tactics, you most likely will miss the very desire and vision that you have dreamed to create.

Spend the time necessary. Focus on your foundation. Do not cut corners. Do not try to jump to the end results with a shaky foundation. Share the vision with your team, because a foundation properly built will save you time, money and energy.

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR OPPORTUNITY. BUILD A STRONG FOUNDATION.
