3 Minute Monday: Charting Progress

For some of us, 2009 has been long and miserable. It has been hard to see any progress because all of your performance metrics were blown up - whether it was your stock portfolio, your retirement or your business goals. Thus, a large majority feel depleted and spent.

Now is the time for perspective. This Monday take 3 minutes to track your progress and prepare for life after the holidays. Write down as much as you can think of in the following categories in at least 3 minutes. Go!

How have you grown as a leader this year?

What have you accomplished in your role this year to ready you for success in 2010?

What has your organization done well this year?

Answer these questions and gain proper perspective needed to prepare you for momentum. Remember, for mountain climbers in a blizzard forward motion is progress. Write it down.
